History of ENAC
Every Nation International
Every Nation started in 1994 by the Founders: Steve Murrell, Rice Broocks and Phil Bonasso under the name Morning Star International. They shared a heart for reaching campus students, conducting world missions and planting churches across the globe. They were and still are friends and successful ministers, who realised that they are better together.
In 2004, the name change to Every Nation Ministries to better align with the mandate the Lord has given us in the Great Commission. We continue to plant churches and campus ministries around the world. More information is available at www.everynation.org.
ENAC is currently a part of the Every Nation Oceania Region, with churches in New Zealand, Australia, Fiji & Papua New Guinea.
Auckland's Story:
Back in 1999, four families from Tennessee (USA) arrived to establish a church and apostolic hub for the South Pacific (later named Oceania).
In 2002, a team was sent from North Shore to Melbourne, Australia to plant a church and Victory Leadership Institute (VLI) was launched in Auckland. VLI was the training and equipping arm of Morning Star to build strong disciples and leaders. In conjuction with the global name change in 2004, our local church changed to Every Nation Christian Church. At the same time, VLI became ENLI (Every Nation Leadership Institute) and we have been raising and releasing leaders ever since.
Since then, we have helped plant churches in Sydney North (2005), South Auckland (2006/2014), and Brisbane (2012). Hundreds of people have been saved, received leadership training and become modern day missionaries to the plaes the Lord calls. We aksi briefly serve Samoa for 3 years through establishing a branch of our Leadership Institute there with the support of Peace Chapel Church in Apia.
After extensive prayer and careful strategic planning in Ffebruary 2014, three important changes occurred: 1) the North Shore church relocate to Auckland Central, thus requiring 2) a name change to Every Nation Auckland Central (ENAC), and 3) Richard and Chrissie Urbahn (born and bred Kiwis) were set in as Senior Pastors for Auckland Central, now Auckland City. ENAC remains fully committed to honouring God, making disciples and planting churches that redeem campuses and communities. We've been honoure to continue the church planting tradition via Suva (2016), Tauranga (2016), and Hamilton (2019).
The rest of our story is yet to be experiened and written.
